The home office windows overlook woods on the backside and field out the other; it is a blessing being able to enjoy the sights and sounds of four beautiful seasons while working. The sunrise is amazingly beautiful through the snow-covered trees.

We lease land to the neighbor to tap the maple trees in return; we get maple syrup. From the window, the blue sap lines are visible against the snow. Only used during the short sugaring season, lines wait to fill with fresh sap. Is our fitness program like a sap line useful a short period until we become board or like the mighty maple tree changing all the seasons?

We have to make choices; is fitness a continual goal or a short season? For this out of shape mature woman, the choice is to maintain fitness year round.

    I have come to the same conclusion. I am better than I was and I have to keep doing what I'm doing to keep improving. I will keep moving and track the exercise whatever it might be. I will keep watching portions and pay attention to what I'm eating and track my food as well. I will keep Sparking so that I stay aware of all that I need to do to be the best I can be. From my window I see a frozen lake covered with snow, but it will thaw and spring will come. Until then, emoticon and emoticon too!!!

    I bit the bullet this year and added exercise to my life too. We can do this!!
