New day new start

Monday, January 19, 2015

I broke out my measuring cups and spoons to track what I have ate so far today. Started out good and will try and finish strong. Tracking and exercising helped me lose 60 pounds a couple of years ago. I just need to get back to doing what works for me. I have gained over 30 of those pounds back in the last 2 years.

I bought single serving fat free chocolate pudding cups to eat when I have a craving instead of making a batch of chocolate no bake cookies. I told myself I was making them for my husband but in reality I was eating most of them.

Since my friend Mary got out of the nursing home, Praise God and has a nice apartment with everything she needs we eat lunch at her house and then I take her shopping. That was we both have a little extra to spend at the thrift stores.

When I eat out I have been making bad choices. I need to plan ahead. emoticon

Ruthie, you knew you would cheat with the pudding, and did. how do you just eat one? I know I am an addict. I bought some cheese, and thought that I would eat a small piece. then I thought well it was small, I'll have another one. It ended with me polishing off 1/2 block of cheese! I think if you really wanted that pudding, make the light and put a cup of pureed zucchini into it, and then you will be full too. You need to sometimes fall back on those things you learned at weight watchers. I went up too -13 pounds because of the scoliosis, went to physical therapy. But still haven't lost the weight. I am walking on my tread mill for 1/2 hour daily, but I must be messing up on the food thing cause the scale isn't going down. eva

Eating out does me in, especially if I'm with other people. I do try to plan ahead though. That's great that you had success in the past so you know that you can do it again!
