trying to get started again

Hello to everyone happy New Year. I am not all that I wanted to be going into this year but it certainly could be worse. My computer is working but has several problems and so I am not on it that much. I can get Spark people on my phone but I don't know how to access my spark page, spark mail or read other people blogs. Can anyone help me with that?

I would like to get back to visiting with my spark friends but I am unsure of any I have left except for Eva and Sandy2Healthy. If there is any others still plugging along out there please let me know how you are.

I have gained nearly 10 pounds this pass year but it could have easily have been so much more.

Being defeated is often temporary. Giving up makes it permanent.

    HI Ruthie!! Today is my first day back in a loooooog time. My hubby was hospitalized most of last year. I was afraid I'd lose him for a while there. His infection is finally cleared up and he is scheduled for his first surgery on April 27th. I had lost twenty pounds after he came home but I've put most of it back. I'm the same as I was the last time I was here. I'm going to start counting steps. Hope to get to at least one hundred a day. Not sleeping well and dragging all day long. I'm soooo grateful that hubby is able to still move around. He uses a walker but is puttering. They postponed his surgery twice so I hope this time it goes through since he is very uncomfortable. Thank you for all the little notes of encouragement. You just keep on doing what you know is right to do and enjoy this journey. Are you still caring for your little grandchild? She must be keeping you happily occupied. I've been reading a lot. HUGS

    I do the same as IGNITEME101 with my iPhone to get to Sparkpeople on it. I'm glad you aren't quitting, you can get rid of those pounds this year and hopefully more will go with them. emoticon

    I have an Android phone. To get to Full Spark access, I usually go to the e-mail associated with Spark 1st. Of course it wlil have a link to the page I want to visit. From almost every page that it opens, I will have access to the start page.

    I hope that helps. Many times you can scroll down and the page will say, full access to spark.

    I am still here, because usually I eliminate people who don't blog back. But I don't as of lately, first last year because of computer problems, then my back & scoliosis- curvature gives me pain when I sit too long.
    solving your problems:
    1.I don't know how to access my spark page:
    a.When you sign in-you are directed to that person's blog -then go to the top to START-then look to the right & find your pic-then go to your blog page!
    spark mail
    b. or you can go to the one next to start, that says TRACKER-then SPARK MAIL
    c.read other people blogs.
    1.go to ARTICLES AND VIDEOS-then see THE SPARK PEOPLE BLOG
    2. or go into your spark page, then go into your FRIENDS, AND TO NEXT BLOFG, THEN HIT EMAIL ALERT
    3. when you are at the start part-across the third one is community-there it also says blogs!
    4. OR BACK TO START- STEP #3, either go into TEAMS or go to BLOG SUBSCRIPTIONS -but don't unsubscribe-just TAP ON THEIR NAMES & YOU ARE IN.
    I hope this helped you. What is wrong with your computer? write it down, and take it to best buy for repairs. p.s. I think we all had a hard year, and failed some how in meeting our goals. many people can't cure everything that sends them into depression, stress, or weight loss. I blew a whole year of weight watchers cause I eat out of pain. Ruthie don't be so hard on yourself, and just keep trying. Are you walking still? Or marching inside? eva

    HI Ruthie,

    With having a brain injury now to live with, I find it very hard to be on here and to communicate wtih people.They do not get me or why I am the way I am . Life has changed so much since my car accident a little over a year ago.

    In fact I just don't feel ike the same person I used to be. I think of you so vry often. I bought a stationary bike and try to ride 1-2 miles each night. So I am not sure if I have lost any weight or not. I am in physio 2 times per week. It is giving me some temporay relief.

    I am sorry to hear that you have gained 10 pounds. I gained 8 so don't feel so bad my friend all is not lost trust me and trust more so in God.
