Chocolate Makes It Better
Thursday, December 25, 2014
it's time for another change. Maybe it won't be seen in lasting weight loss or in a smaller number on my clothes tag. But hopefully, it will be a change in my relationships.
Quite frankly, I'm sick of being associated with chocolate.
It's a well known fact with my family and friends that I have sugar cravings the size of Oklahoma.
My dh brings home brownies, cookies, and other treats from work.
My children buy me candy bars to show they love me.
My brothers give me a box filled with chocolates for Christmas.
There are boxes of Russell Stover's and bottles of Cherry 7-Up. And rarely do I buy any of it for myself.
I'm going on strike! No more buying me off with sweet ticking time bombs. I refuse to allow my addiction to be enabled any longer.
Perhaps there will be a place for a little something sweet in the future…the distant future. Until then, I will say "NO" to the first bite.
And to all my wonderful family and friends--find something else to gift me. Babysitting while I get "me" time comes to mind.
I know, I know, chocolate is easier. Well, I refuse to be "easy" any longer. I declare freedom and independence. RIGHT NOW AND TODAY!
I will not be associated with chocolate any longer. Chocolate will not make anything better.
