In Need of Some Christmas Miracles

Wednesday, December 24, 2014

Being that Christmas is the season of our Savior's birth. I also believe it is a season for miracles and my family needs some now. I talked to my mom yesterday and found out some things that worried me so much I can't sleep. She told me that my Aunt Nancy is in the hospital because she has lung cancer. She has already had surgery and the doctors think they got it all and are sending her home today. So the first prayer I that I have for the Heavenly Father and Lord Jesus is to please heal her from all the cancer so she have a complete recovery. My mom also told me that she isn't able to stand hardly at all. She isn't able to do it long enough to do the things she loves to do, like bake the deserts she usually does for Christmas or cook their Christmas dinner. She is so depressed about that she can't even enjoy her life anymore. She doesn't have a walker or anything to make her life easier either. My second prayer to the Heavenly Father and Lord Jesus is to heal my mom's knees and legs so she can do the things she loves to do and enjoy life again. My youngest son who has Down's still isn't speaking very well and is reading at a preschool level. So the last prayer I have for Heavenly Father and Lord Jesus is to please help my son to be able to speak clearly and improve his reading level. Even though I have issues in my life also, I feel my families are a lot more important than mine. Please help my family by praying also, we need all the prayers we can get. Thank you so much and God Bless You.

    Praying!!

Our families are the most important but I remind myself I can't help them unless I'm helping myself heal, too.

    Losing weight is healing!!

Your mom might benefit from a home health evaluation, She should talk with her doctor about the lack of strength for walking and doing cooking etc. That could qualify her for home health services and physical therapy that will help her regain strength and endurance. It will also qualify her for adaptive equipment like a walker or wheelchair. If she qualifies for home health service it will be covered by Medicare. She might need an antidepressant too. Prayers for your aunt and your son too.

It might also be worth checking eBay for a walker? I got a folding wheelchair for £25 this summer for my mom, and I know it can be sold for more than that in the future. In the UK, local councils often lend equipment at no charge (bed rails, bath steps, bathroom seats, that sort of thing. Definitely ask at your moms local church.

Prayer for your family, and for you x

Said and done!! If she is unable to afford a walker or does not have Medicare(they are free with it), sometimes various agencies can supply one,,Crippled and adults, Division on Aging, certain civic clubs. Even churches sometimes have a mission fund to pay for things people need but cannot afford.
