Calling it a night, early!

Tuesday, December 09, 2014

Was up late last night (had "hairs"), and ended up getting a less restful sleep than I'd hoped for. I did great yesterday, but today, I didn't get much activity in - did quite a bit of cleaning, but I really need to get more consistent about working out. I don't even have an excuse - I have a DVD I can work out to AND I have a treadmill, so I could have squeezed in 10 minutes. I should have pushed past a tender back and worked out. Well, tomorrow's another gym day, and I can't change today.

Did OK eating wise, UNTIL this evening! I don't know why, but the day after the gym I always feel like I'm STARVING! I don't think it's dehydration because I drink water while I'm there. I think it's some kind of mental block I have to get past. At least I have a really healthy lunch already measured and packed for tomorrow - left over brown rice and pinto beans with ham and spinach! I'm thinking about turning it into a soup - add a little water to everything and pop it in the microwave - then I can eat twice as much! LOL

Hope everyone had a great Tuesday, and that you have a wonderful Wednesday! **HUGGZ**

I sometimes have hungry days. I figure it is okay. Maybe I'm building muscle and need them. I usually take a minute, drink some water and then see if I'm still hungry. If I am, I go for a balanced snack.

Sorry to hear the hungries were bothering you. They get me a lot too. Hopefully today is better and you're not so hungry!

Growing up, my Mom called it "having hairs" when I'd get restless energy. Like when you get a bug and you first start getting over it - you don't feel well enough to get out and run and play, but you have too much energy to lay in bed and watch TV.

    What does (had "hairs") mean?

I find ensuring I get enough protein staves off hunger. But if it hits, like after a long hike or a gym workout, sometimes a handful of carrot sticks give the full feeling with only about 30 cal. Good luck today!

Soup is a great answer! I saved the pot-licker from my last pot of greens, froze it in icecube tray, so I can + flvr to things like that soup. OooWee Bobdats fine-ets ritchair donchano

Have you set your nutritional goals to adjust for your calorie burn? I did because there are some days I burn around 50 and some over 400. It has helped prevent the starving feeling. Although because I've had too little fat the last few days after heavy workouts, I'm still fighting some cravings. Once I realized the cravings were for fat and have made some adjustments, I've gotten better. I bet a review of our workouts (you can use the calendar or other reports) will most likely turn up the culprit for the belly gnome..

You might need more protein so that you are not so hungry.
