Woke up feeling great today! Beautiful sunny day here in Northern Wisconsin. Goal for today. Clean the kitchen and keep it clean (clean up every night before bed) I am so much better at preparing home cooked meals and eating healthy when my kitchen is clean and neat.

Since we live in our kitchens in a way, it's very hard to get it entirely spotless and keep it that way but we can do certain tasks and build from there. I read this morning in an article about organization, to commit to having an empty sink and wiped down counters every night even if we do no more than that we wake up to a more welcoming kitchen. I like that thought. Keep striving for the completely clean kitchen and be happy for the lived in clean kitchen!

I love a clean kitchen too. Way to go on the sugar. I need to work harder on that for myself. A couple of years ago (?not real sure exactly when), I gave up the salt shaker. I missed it for awhile but not anymore. So many foods now taste way too salty to me -- processed foods mostly which is just as well.

Well, I didn't get the kitchen completely clean yesterday. It looks better than it did yesterday morning. Try again tonight. Small victory yesterday. I have not had any white sugar this week, when I took a bite of a muffin it tasted so sugary and gross that I spit it out and threw it away. It amazes me how much our taste buds can change in just a couple days. :)
