Cheat Day or Treat Day

Lately I have seen some discussion of "cheat days".
I don't have "cheat days" as I call them "treat days" and I plan for them.
CHEAT is such a negative work
TREAT is Positive.
I usually plan for one treat day each week, often a Friday or Saturday. I find it really helps me as I can resist something earlier in the week and save it for my treat day.
It is often just a treat meal not necessarily a whole day. For example I may be craving fish and chips
- then I will allow myself to have it on my assigned treat day. I count the calories and enjoy it.
It helps not to have it forbidden or feel guilty for eating it.
Another week it might be pizza or cheesecake.
By planning for it I am able to eat healthier and lower calorie the day before and if necessary the day after.
For me the main thing is not to have leftovers of whatever it is. Then the treat day doesn't extend into the next day.
