Heads up on this subject this morning on "Good Morning America".
A new study supports all of us active SPARKERS who are investing in our physical health through exercise and healthy eating.
It seems (and they are still in the "study stage" that your waist size increases along with the number of years inpart due to our hormonal changes.
The study produced the finding that as the waist size increased so did the % of chance of breast cancer.

    So happy to hear your sisters have reached survivors status. Its something to celebrate!
    As for the show that was aired,I felt the information provided was clearly leaning toward weight gain and body fat( which does increase in most menopausal women) as the hormones decline to be produced.
    Robin Roberts along with the other show host are both diagnosed with breast cancer and I believe they felt the information helpful
    As for the hormones,estrogen etc.(or lack of them) I would entertain the fact that they probably do play a part in the weight gain.
    Any studies are debatable but any information may bring us a step closer. Right??

    Trying to follow a healthy lifestyle is just simply good news all around. The fitter you are and the better you eat the more your body will thank you. It runs best on premium fuel, not junk. All common sense and so many benefits :-) Just another study to confirm it. Sadly, getting rid of the belly fat is the hardest thing to do -that is the last place I started losing. Pear shaped women especially want to pack the pounds on there. Also a recent article shared by a friend claims belly fat is increased by stress as well.

    I don`t understand what you are trying to say here... I read your blog because I have 2 sisters who are breast cancer survivors....but I don`t get this... 1 sister s Vega, has been for years and walks at least 6 hrs a week, she never smoked, never drank alcohol, is 5`4" and has never weighed over 130 lbs (even pregnant)
    The other sister, does eat meat, but is diabetic and watches carb, she has drank alcohol, a long long time ago, but never smoked. Also they both breast fed their babies....studies are tending, usually one-sided and mostly opinions.
    Still don`t get what you`re saying....
