Humidity Will Not Stop Me!!!!!

Saturday, September 06, 2014

Today my Zumba Instructor invited me to a Zumba Demo with her. It was sooooo humid, but we made it through! I wasn't feeling too good all day after. Been drinking lots of water, which is helping.

We do not have to let circumstances stop us. Where there is a will there is a way. And if the will is not there, look for someone to encourage you! Thank God we have this site, where there are so many people ready to encourage us.

Keep on Sparking!!!!

I struggle so much when it's hot/humid. I'm glad my apartment has a pool because that's the only thing that gets me out in summer. We're into fall here thankfully and I've been able to resume my going outside habit.

I'm glad you didn't let it stop you! emoticon

KAYLEESMEME, what an inspiration you are! I have only done Zumba once and that was in the privacy of my home. Only my cats saw how crazy I looked. Congratulations to you for not only doing Zumba, but for helping demonstrate it to others on such a humid day. emoticon emoticon

You go girl-- Zumba is ADDICTING!! But at least it is a wonderful addiction! I love it and hope to get back to it someday after my knee surgery! Thanks for sharing and the fact that nothing should keep us from achieving our goals, not even the weather!

I am so sorry that your experience did not go as well as expected. First you did not say if the class was outside or not. If it was that humid, that it made you ill, it was not the ideal environment to hold the class in and I hold your instructor responsible.
Two, it sounds like you suffered from a classic case of dehydration. Please hydrate yourself no matter what type of exercise class that you are taking, including during the exercise. There is no shame in taking a sip of water or a sip of a sports drink. I would also like to suggest that you get a physical before continuing with any exercise program to make sure that it was a simple case of dehydration and nothing more serious. Better to err on the cautious side.
