From Swimming to Biking!

I had the best summer ever! I really took advantage this season of my development's amenities and used the pools almost every day. I can't believe how my range of motion and muscle tone has increased since I started doing water aerobics and deep water aqua jogging back in June. Unfortunately, the season is over and our outdoor pools have closed.
I have moved on to the bicycle. My DH bought me a new 7 speed Electra Coaster bike that is just perfect for me. I now go riding with my hubby and some friends every Monday evening through the historic town of Milford near my home. I'm really looking forward to the cooler Fall weather and the foliage to change. We ride for a few hours and then we all go out to eat a healthy dinner together. It's a nice way to keep active and socialize as well.
I have also signed up for some water aerobics and lap swimming session at our local high school 2 days a week and my development also has an indoor pool where I will be doing a morning aerobics class 4 days a week. I am now up to 20 hours of swimming a week in addition to my bike riding. This is turning into a part time job!!
I signed up for a 25 mile bike ride in a few weeks and also plan on doing my first 5K Color Run in October! Who would have thought this would have ever been an option? For the past few years I needed a mobility scooter when outdoors and a cane to walk around my house. Never say Never!
I have now lost 73 lbs since I started in March. I know I still have a long way to go but it feels so good to move again and have a positive frame of mind. I have hit a plateau now and the weight is coming off real slow but where I used to give up at this point, I am still so psyched and eager to keep moving and making good nutrition choices. I think I finally get it now!
