Life in a nutshell

Wow, I really don't even know where to begin. I've been gone from SparkPeople for a very long time. I originally planned a hiatus due to being pregnant but my baby girl is almost 10 months old and I am just now making any kind of appearance. I guess life really got a lot crazier than I had ever imagined. I'll try to cover it all as briefly as possible.
I had my sweet girl November 16,2013. I was induced due to gestational diabetes. Being diagnosed with gestational diabetes was such an eye opener for me for two reasons. One I was at my all time highest weight EVER of 232 pounds. Two, diabetes runs in my family and having had gestational diabetes I now have an even higher risk of developing it.
For the first few months I tried to ignore the aching in my heart every time I thought about my weight. How was I going to be able to play with my daughter and watch her grow if I got breathless walking up the stairs in our house. I knew something had to change because honestly I was not one of those women who lost a ton of weight from breastfeeding alone.
I went back to weight watchers and lost my first 14 pounds. I was ecstatic but I got so many points from breastfeeding that week after week I made fast food work into the plan. Needless to say I hit a plateau early on even though I knew I had weight to lose.
After that I decided on a whim to sign up as a beachbody coach. I order the 21 day fix and shakeology. This is when I really started seeing success. Through shakeology, the 21 day fix, and T25 I lost an additional 31 pounds! And then our world was turned upside down, my husband was denied reenlistment because his MOS had already been filled.
With no other options we packed up, loaded our then 7 month old and our puppy and drove across the country to our new home in Ohio (where my husband was born and raised). I paid absolutely no attention to what I ate or making sure I worked out and gained back 10 pounds.
I got myself back on track lost all the weight I had gained and a few extra pounds. However I haven't worked out in about a month due to some really intense toothaches. I have my root canal scheduled for a week from tomorrow and never in my life have I been so excited to see a dentist. While I have been waiting for my root canal I also took a much needed break from the scale. The day before my appointment I'll finally be weighing in again and we'll see how I have done. And once I am healed from the root canal it is back on track with working out. I'll either be going back to T25 or PiYo.
Thanks for taking the time to read this. I'll try to make a more conscious effort to log in more often.
