Saying hello to strength training.

Wednesday, August 06, 2014

The picture above is of Tom Venuto the author of a book (The Body Fat Solution) I've started reading again, after being reunited with it after it was hidden beneath a ton of mess for the past 2 years.

For the past week I have been following the beginners program in the book which last about 30 minutes. It's great to finally add this to my weekly exercise plan. I've been a bit lazy lately, I must confess.

I've had a bit of a crazy day with food due to going out for a meal with my parents but I'm not going to beat myself up over it. I really had a lovely time with them.

Tonight I am going to do my strength training (session 4) and go for a run between 4 -6 miles. I'll see how I feel. I've only recently took up running again after 6 months of stopping. The reasons were due to niggles and not being able to plan running sessions in the evenings due to my kids needing me to take them to work and school. But I don't have to do that any more. So this time is my time.

I'm going on holiday to Tunisia soon with my family and I'll have to replace running with swimming but that's a great exercise too. Also no strength training as such.

Have a great day folks! x

emoticon You'll never ever be sorry that you've added Strength Training To Your Workouts. At our age, it is Critical (in my opinion!)
So glad that you got to spend good, quality time with your Parents. That is Important, and One Meal does not make or break the Program (as you well know)
