Today, without thinking, as we chatted, I told him that I have this relative whom I'm always in conflict with and I just can't win with her. The guard told me not to try to win but to find the common ground. Duh, that makes sense, and I've lost a lot of time fussing over this problem. Thank you to my favorite lifeguard.
