You're hot then you're cold, you're yes then you're no

Thursday, June 19, 2014

This seems to be the story of my life. I'm super terrible at the stick-to-it-ness part of goals. The light at the end of the tunnel is that I view diet and exercise as a life style thing and not a "I just wanna fit into this bikini by July" thing.

I make a goal for exercise, do it for a week, then something comes up, weather is bad, next thing you know it's been three weeks since I last ran. I swear I will eat within my calorie range and track every bite for a week, then I get home late, too tired to cook, we go to a party, family is in town and takes us out three nights in a row.

Life happens. I guess at least I'm conscious of it enough to try to adjust once the events go away. Family leaves town and me with five extra pounds, that means only vegetables and grilled chicken for a week. Haven't ran in nearly a month? Better sign up for a weekly volleyball league on campus and text girlfriends to run after work. That should keep me accountable. For a while.

Hope you're having better luck than I sticking to goals this month!

Having the same issues! Doesn't seem to take much to knock me off track. At least we're not giving up! Good luck!
