The better sleep challenge journal

Ugh...I am so bad about a sleep schedule and figure its probably about that time that I start to do something about it. Ive always been a night owl and hate early mornings. I think my biggest issue with this is that when the kids go to bed for the night that is my 'me' time. there is usually a ton of things to do during my 'me' time including cleaning, exercising, and catching up on some of my favorite shows or talking with my other mom friends on the phone. I just don't know if ill ever be able to give all that up.
06-10-2014 went to sleep at 12:30am set alarm for 8:15/8:30 woke up to alarm, turned it off and fell back asleep until 9:15. feeling pretty tired all day, not too much energy at all.
Total: 8hours 45minutes
06-11-2014 went to sleep at 12:30am set alarm for 8:15-8:30am. I woke up today on my own at 7:40am and was wide awake. The kids were still asleep and it was early so I decided to just lay in bed for awhile, before I knew it I had fallen back asleep. I woke up really groggy at 8:30 and it took me until we left the house at 11 to fully be awake. Energy level was ok...we spent the day at the beach so not much energy was needed :)
6-12-2014 went to sleep at 11:30 set alarm for 8:15-8:30am
06-13-2014 Couldn't sleep last night. Went to bed around 5:30am woke up at 6am went back to sleep until 8:45am. It was a rough morning but I got through it :) Took the kids to the pool after dinner for an hour and a half.
Total Sleep: 3hours 15 minutes
I will continue to update my daily sleep schedule over the next week and think about steps to help get myself on a better schedule :)
