It has been a frustrating 7 months. A year ago my weight was great, my physical activity going strong and then at the end of Sept I got sick. The next 6 months were nothing but repeated illnesses, struggles with asthma, shingles, the flu, sinus infections, and bronchitis. Add to that a few rounds of prednisone plus a change in medication, a few extended family challenges, lots of work travel and a change in world view and I'm now 20 pounds heavier than I was at Thanksgiving.
I'm very discouraged and quite a bit angry about the extra weight, I worked so hard to get the weight off two years ago and kept it off for over a year, now I'm halfway back to my highest weight ever.
So, I'm angry enough to start trying harder.
Yesterday, I stopped eating candy and today I started using my treadmill desk and am going to actively use the tools on SparkPeople to try and get back to my weight.
However, the weight itself isn't the most disappointing thing, it is my lack of energy, and strength and stamina. I want it back and hope that nothing will stand in my way again.
