Friday - the lost and found

Really tired tonight. Did you ever imagine while you were raising kids that it would never be over - just training for bigger babies. Mother is to the point that she can do less and less for herself and it is just tiring to take her for a 6 hour trip but not impossible.
After my last visit to Austin on April 6, I never told my DH I lost my grandmother's diamond he had set in platinum and on a white gold chain for our 20th anniversary. He would have jumped in the car and driven back to Austin to look after several other people already had looked. So as soon as I told him today he started looking in crevices and under things with his little miners lamp.
I can honestly say that I hadn't prayed about it because it seems so trivial compared with a lost soul or starving children, but God knew. And the impossible came true - I had shaken out my clothes on my return last time and I had shaken out the suit case. Today DH felt of all the liners and there was my necklace and diamond. Somehow in my heart of hearts I knew it was not gone, I guess I needed to suffer a while to appreciate him finding it and so he could be the hero - And to appreciate the God that knows all things even when WE haven't told Him.
Luke 15:9-10 And when she has found it, she calls together her friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found the coin that I had lost.’ Just so, I tell you, there is joy before the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”
May God take care of your loss no matter how trivial you think it is.
