HEY...is my FAT filling out my WRINKLES????

YIKES...Someone told me I was losing weight so fast I was gonna be a baggy shell if I kept it up. Now while THAT is a total exaggeration- it DID get me thinking. I gained 100 pounds and I still look relatively young for almost 50. But there is definitely extra weight on my face. Could it be filling out the wrinkles? Am I going to turn into a wrinkled hag if I reach my goal? SURELY that could NOT be the reward for being an incredible shrinking woman. SO here's my plan.
Yes I am doing this so I don't freakin Waddle anymore! And yeah I want my hips and back to stop hurting. And I also want my body to be healthy from all the chemical free stuff I am eating. ANd the outcome of that will be a smaller number on the scale.... But is that enough?
I haven't shown myself much love in the last few years...And while my hubby would argue that I have shown myself "TOO much love" Over indulgence is NOT the same thing as "Showing yourself love". THat should be done by taking CARE of yourself and your body..... eating any and everything is NOT love. It's like spoiling the already bratty kid. ( And not a very good idea) So since I decided a little TOUGH LOVE is called for with my diet. Can't I be kinder to myself with the pampering and indulging my SKIN?
Most of us put on make- up and wear sunscreen...but do most of us really Take Care of our skin?? I don't think so and I know I haven't. I have always taken my skin for granted. Not anymore.
I went out and got some wonderful skin care products and am dedicated to not only eating healthy everyday- but to pampering my SKIN with vitamin creams, moisturizers, periodic masks and in general- taking care of my skin in a way I never have. I even bought those cotton gloves and have started wearing them to bed with lotion. Sally Beauty Supply had some excellent skin care choices for a fraction of what all the department store and sephora were charging for similar products. SO I loaded up. From now on... I'm going to indulge my SKIN instead of my cravings.
And you know what? If losing the weight DOES give me wrinkles...then I can save up and get some surgery! LOL...hell...I might be able to pay for it selling all my size 10-20 clothes on ebay. Once I'm a 6/8 again I won't be needing them!
Just my thought for the day!
OK off to wash those grays right outta my hair...me & Clairol have a date in a few minutes! Hope this gave some of you pause for thought about how you treat your skin. There is more to being healthy than the number on the scale.
UPDATE:
SOme of you wondered who had the gall to comment like this to me. I have to say it wasn't malicious. THey were actually teasing me and trying to give me an oblique compliment. But it did make me start thinking...and wallah...another blog :)
