Taking a moment for my Daily Gratitudes & Affirmations. Today, I am thankful for:

3. Spending time with my brother & his kids
4. Bonding while helping DD prepare a platform for youth group board position
5. DS feeling better after 2 weeks of being sick
6. Mother-in-law not hurt from fall she took this morning
7. Sun shining brightly
AFFIRMATIONS FOR TODAY:
Day 8: Approval From Within
"I accept and approve of myself – just the way I am"
"Our innate nature is to be happy, to spread joy. We want to do things we believe will make others happy. This becomes a challenge when we habitually seek approval from others. Our essential self gets buried in the need for approval. Living life to please someone else is a full time and exhausting job. Perhaps the other person doesn’t want or know how to give out approval. To learn that the ultimate approval comes from within is a valuable lesson. It is the strongest way to maintain self-esteem, self-confidence and grow as the magnificent person you were destined to be"
Q: From whom, do you seek approval most?
A: I seek approval mostly from DH & my mother
Q: What steps can you take to practice approving of yourself?
A: I will participate in activities that fulfill me, even though others may want to hold me back
Day 7: Whole and Complete

Q: Do you believe you are whole and complete, with nothing lacking?
A: Some days, especially when I am in control of my eating, I feel that I am whole an complete with nothing lacking. Other days, like when I fall off the healthy eating wagon, I feel like I'm not good enough or worthy.

A: Yes, I am ready to accept that my life is unfolding in perfect, divine order
Day 6: Honoring the Body

A: Take a deep breath. Feed it nutritious healthy food at dinner outing tonight to celebrate friend's big birthday

Day 5: Self-Confidence

Q: If you lack confidence, when & where did the feelings begin?
A: My self image began when I was a child. In her efforts to make me the best I could be, my mom was continually re-inventing me, by either giving me more food to fatten a skinny baby who wasn't a great eater (cultural), having me skip breakfast to then lose weight when I got chubby (although photos don't reflect how I saw myself then), shaving my head at age 6 to supposedly relax unruly curly hair (which might actually have had the opposite affect), professionally relaxing my hair, etc...(all made me a more mindful mom to my daughter now)
Q:. If you knew you couldn’t fail, what would you love to do?
A: If I knew I couldn't fail, I'd quit my job & start my own company mentoring other people with a poor self image.

A; I am fat & not as smart as some other people.

A: I am my own worst critic & hard on myself. I am much kinder to others
