This weekend, the Wichita State Shockers became the NCAA Missouri Valley Conference Champions. And they did it relentlessly, with a 31-0 perfect record!
It's truly an inspiration to watch them play. I've been to all the home games this year and watched all their away games that were televised on TV. I didn't realize how much I enjoyed basketball (watching, not playing) until I was privileged enough to see these boys do their thing. They play with their heart and soul when they step onto that court. And what happens? They win. Every. Single. Time.
It got me thinking, "What would the results be if I put my heart and soul into my health? What if I were relentless with my workouts, having no excuses, just a winning attitude?"
In their honor (but for my own benefit of course,) I'm dedicating my workouts to the Shockers this week. I'm going to push myself extra hard, working out for 6 days for a minimum of an hour a day, more than twice the amount of time I regularly dedicate to working out.
Here is what my week will look like...
Mon. 3/3 Shoveling Snow 75 minutes, Strength 10 minutes. Stretching 20 minutes
Tues. 3/4 5K Your Way Rookie Week 5 with warm up 45 minutes, Strength 20 minutes
Wed. 3/6 Trampoline Exercise 15 minutes, Yoga 60 minutes (Goal not met, moving to Thursday, blogged about my day of excuses)
Thurs. 3/7 Trampoline Exercise 15 minutes, Yoga 60 minutes
Fri. 3/8 5K Your Way Rookie Week 5 with warm up 45 minutes, Strength 20 minutes
Sat. 3/9 Trampoline Exercise 30 minutes (15 with dumbbells), Hula Hoop 30 minutes
Sun. 3/10 5K Your Way Rookie Week 5 with warm up 45 minutes, Strength 20 minutes (added Sunday in lieu of Wednesday)
I'll be tracking each routine on my Spark Fitness Tracker daily.
I hope we are all winners this week!
Tina~
