Bad days vs Good Days....

Friday, February 07, 2014

I wrote this in 2010 and it is still true today. I still have to learn how not to be on a diet roller-coaster. "I joined Spark! at the end of 2009. Sometimes the "Bad" days overshadow the "Good" days. Bad days have consisted of: lack of motivation, personal issues, health issues and .....life in general, gets in the way of my plans. I will have to say my good days far exceed the bad days, but one bad day and I forget all those good days I had and will have.
How do I defeat these bad days? One way is my SparkFriends pulled me through! I log in everyday without fail. I don't always want to but I do. I take my medications every morning weather I want to or not because it helps me. I need my dose of Spark, as with medication, because it makes me feel better. I continue to track my nutrition and fitness activity without fail, reading articles, SparkTeam threads, and Blogs, By being consistent with this ritual I have always been able to get back on track.
I have had many bad days in a row for the past month, some worse than others, but a bad day none the less. SparkPeople helps keeps things in perspective and the light at the end of the tunnel is still visible. When I am with my SparkFriends I am back in the "Zone" of healthy thoughts and healthier living.
Thanks to SparkPeople and SparkFriends, many more good days are ahead. "

Weighing in regularly and jotting all my food, water and exercise on Spark helps me have a good day

Chuck, I'm back, too! If I do NOT check in with spark first thing in the morning, I am on my way to weighing lots again. With spark...the weight falls off! It all does begin in the brain as you say. It's hard after losing lots of weight and regaining it back to remember what one's life was like when being successful. The brain forgets and has to be rewired all over. I don't want that to happen AGAIN! Took years to remember the real "trick" was just checking into spark. It keeps the struggle and hope REAL!

Hey, if you ever need a kick in the pants, holler at me through facebook.
And if *I* ever need a good swift kick in the booty, I'll be sure to let you know.
