How is Your Winter?

I was just thinking, it seems like this winter just doesn’t want to quit. I would sure like to it to be over and spring began, I am more than ready for it. In the winter season things begin to die. It makes us sad to see the flowers and trees die, they were so beautiful.

But there were also things growing that there not good, like the weeds. In the dead of winter there is no life, and that’s good for the weeds, bugs etc. Do we have any weeds in our garden? Let those things remain dead that were not good.

'Hebrews 12:1Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us '

Now lets looking it this way. There are things that are good in our life that sometimes begin to die out if we do not cultivate them. Prayer, the Word, worship, ministry will die if we do not contintaully tend to them. Come alive, awake to the things of the Spirit, the things of God

Let those things that are not like God to die out but let him birth forth the fruit of HIS Spirit when spring comes.

'Galatians 6:8Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit.'

'Ephesians 5:14Therefore he says, Awake you that sleep, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give you light.'
