Could this be it?

The second half of the year 2013 was an excellent one, at least as far as I am concerned.

If you read back through some of my earlier blogs, you'll notice that during the summer I began to get my life on track via nutrition and exercise. I've managed to maintain a weight of 180 lbs ever since and, although I still have another 20+ lbs to lose, I haven't given up.

I met someone in October. He's smart and he's funny and he makes me smile constantly. We've been seeing each other two or three times a week and we have a lot of fun spending time together and getting to know one another. He dances, too, so we have something more in common than just video games and movies like I share with most of the people in my life.

The year 2014 can only be amazing.

On Tuesday I decided to finally start up my Turbo Fire discs. When I first got them from BeachBody.com I wasn't in the right frame of mind and after the first day I said to myself, "Why bother?" This time around, I'm committed to the 4-month program and more importantly, I'm committed to myself. Le Garcon is also really supportive and I know he'll be giving me all sorts of reinforcement along the way.

The goal I set for myself last summer was to be 160 lbs by my birthday, which is May 5th. 20 lbs in 4.5 months is 4.5 lbs a month, or 1.1 lbs a week.
