Have a blessed and thankful Thanksgiving, everyone!

We had ours a day early, due to family conflicts with Ron's daughter. I'll still be cooking a turkey breast for us, today. It was very nice to go with her. I did eat turkey and green beans, and made a nice pumpkin mousse that was sugarless, grainless and organic. Ron and Raud and I ate it. The grandson was nice enough to say he liked it, but they did have real pie, after all, and I can't compete with that! Not trying to. But I thought it came out really good and I don't feel deprived at all, tonight.
The crust was mostly almonds. The mousse was chia and greek yogurt, molasses and stevia, and pumpkin. I was pretty pleased, considering.
The hard part is missing my sister and our holiday breakfasts of leftovers the morning after. Now that was our celebration. We'd have quite a hen fest and it would go late, with lots of turkey and stuffing and gravy. Most of all, I miss her friendship. I'm so very thankful for the blessing of having her in my life.
Happy Thanksgiving to you, and all of your family and loved ones!
Or Happy Thansgivukkah, if you celebrate Hannukah. Have a blessed holiday!
