I'll bet you thought that I was ditching this project!
Nope, this is just what I expected as the holiday weekend collides with my test preparation; crunch time!

10. What are the ways in which you are "slippery" and might cheat yourself in your efforts to reach your short- or medium-term goal or challenge?
You know, this doesn't apply to me (at least *I* don't think so). For me - like Yoda - it's "do or do not." I'm not going to cheat. I either do it or I don't do it.
I just don't have the patience for cheating or making excuses. If I don't meet my goals, there are reasons. When I meet my goals, there are also reasons.
So there you go!
10 days until the exam, a holiday around the corner, the parade season is upon us and my frequent readers/SparkFriends know what that means. Yes, you guessed it; the father-in-law is back in the hospital.
He recently had his eighth stent put in (is there a limit?), was released from the hospital within a day or two (seemed pretty short to me) and passed out when he and Mom stopped on the way home for a freakin' cheeseburger.
I am not making this up. I wish that I was.
My mother-in-law is driving the 90+ miles between home and hospital daily (maybe even more often). Why so far? Because anytime Dad doesn't like a doctor, they switch...
And then the lines of communication break and the med train is back on the tracks. He had accumulated more than 20 different meds that he was taking everyday...
And he is STILL on the list as a recipient for a kidney transplant.

It's at the point where it's to be expected. The Hubster and I refuse to get wound up about this. We simply cannot, not now and not ever.
Please, everyone, have a safe, healthy and happy holiday. I'll be here, logging fitness minutes in between bouts of studying.
P.S. I totally CRUSHED the "12 Y visits by the 20th" challenge with my co-workers. I'm on pace for my best month ever. I hope we do it again in December!
