I went with my niece (on buckskin) and great niece (on the bay horse) for about a 2 hour ride this morning, to an old Rock Quarry back behind the house.

Gorgeous!! I can not wait until we can finally fence in the back 20 and get the barn up! I don't care what hubz says he is just going to come home to a horse and goats. end of that story :P 2695 days ago

Beautiful country and I love the rock formations....my daughter rides in the Shawnee National Forest in Southern Illinois....the campground there has people coming in from Texas, Alabama, Tennessee, and quite a few other states....beautiful country....I used to ride a lot and would still enjoy it if I can get my hip limbered up...lol

I couldn't pass up YOUR blog. (I'm trying to get a little bit caught up.) You are SO fortunate to be able to ride your horse through such beautiful country. I don't have a horse, so I have to walk. It's still good exercise, though! LOL

How beautiful. There are three old rock quarries near where I live that used to be open swimming holes. Sadly, each is now privately owned and blocked off from the public. Progress doesn't always seem like progress. Thank for sharing the ride with us. 2728 days ago
