It is so easy to get discouraged when we falter on our pathway to fitness. But I look at it as EVERY effort is a small victory.

Perhaps I am not where I wanted to be by now in terms of what I weigh. But guess what? I have significantly improved my diet overall. I have dramatically decreased my binging - which has been a problem for me my entire life. MOST of the time I make wise food choices and manage to find time to exercise. I have learned techniques from SP to stop binges in their tracks - at least most of the time. Have I completely achieved success? No. But I am not discouraged!

All of the things I mentioned above are VICTORIES! Where would I be if I never even tried? A good deal heavier, that's for sure. Today I am in good health, and definitely more physically fit than when I started.

STOP being so hard on yourselves! The fact that you are still working on it and have not completely given up is something to be proud of! Hold your heads high and be PROUD of what you have accomplished!

    Wow! I REALLY needed this today! Thank you so much for writing this blog. I have been struggling with binging all week and have been getting mad at myself for not being perfect. You made me realize that, in fact, my efforts have put me in a much better place than I would have been without them. All morning I have been focusing on the fact that I ate chili and cornbread at a meeting last night without being able to figure out how to track it. I never even realized that it was a victory that I didn't eat the cookies that were on the table! emoticon
