This this weekend was DragonCon and it has been a wild ride! I entered the Doctor Who costume contest and WON in my category! They called me up on the stage during the 50th anniversary Doctor Who Ball and it was so incredible! :D
I received so many compliments on my gown and got my picture taken so many times this weekend, I felt like a celebrity! Next year... I'm thinking of stepping it up even more and entering one of the bigger costume contests, but I need to start soon. Most folks who enter start months or even a year in advance!
My unofficial goal was to lose 40 pounds over the next year, but I can't really start sewing until I'm down to the right size; if I'm going to put this much work into it, I want my costume to fit perfectly! That said, my NEW goal is to lose that 40 pounds in 4 months, leaving me 8 to draft, sew, sculpt, and whatever else I need to do to look stunning. Does that sound healthy, safe, and achievable?
