Calories vs. Nutrition

Still working on that elusive goal that won't budge, the 200 pound mark on that scale! I've been going back and forth flirting with that goal for a couple of months, literally. When I first seriously committed to this lifestyle change in February, I was losing more than five pounds a week! Lately, it's been around one pound at best. Yes, I know this is still great. Yes, I know it could be worse, I could be gaining it back. I'm just trying to regain that motivation and momentum I had six months ago. I know it's in my head and that I shouldn't only be using a scale as my measure of success, but I can't help but believe that if I could just break through that barrier, I'll feel more successful than I have since I was last below 200 in my teens.
Yesterday and today I've been doing okay. Calorie-wise, I'm within "budget", but nutrition-wise, not so much. I'm going to try to eat not just fewer calories, but also eat more healthy. Fewer Weight Watcher's ice cream bars and pickles and more veggies and lean protein. On that note, I'm off to nosh on a tomato. I will resist the urge to go full on Okie and pour tablespoons of salt on it. Whew!
