Back on Track - Day 3

So I'm posting again, and again stating that I had a successful day yesterday. Look, I'm eating a hell of a dinner every night, and it is not always filled with the most nutritious food. However, I find that I am eating during the day, but not necessarily eating a lot of calories..so I get to dinner time both hungry and with a lot of calories to expend at that meal. I have read on many occasions that ideally, the evening meal should be lighter than the midday meal, but first, I do not think that is practical, as it is not always easy to get back to work after a big meal during the day, and second, I am not nearly as hungry during the day as I am at night. So, I'm eating my bigger meal at dinner, and at least for the last couple of days, that has kept me from that night time binging that is my true nemisis. I might be inclined to pooh pooh two days of success, but given where I've been for the past 8 months or so, I'm here to say that two successful days are one helluva step forward.

Not to mention that I have also read that it really does not matter WHEN you eat your calories in the course of a day, 300 calories at 10 am is the same as 300 calories at 10 pm, so there is certainly enough UNcertainty to make me say hey self, this might be working, so shut up and move forward.

I did get up about 15 minutes earlier this morning, and once again hopped on my bike. Somehow 15 minutes more of awake time only translated to 5 minutes more on the bike, but given where I've been lately, again, it's like shut up and move forward.

So, day 3, I have to report that my results are good. I'm feeling encouraged, and feeling somewhat better physcially. Perhaps by the time we leave for the beach, I will be ready for the challenge of the sand and the surf, the stairs and the walk..

I would like to mention, once again, the love and support I am feeling from my spark buddies, old and new. I am hoping to be ready for more sparking, more direct communication, soon, but for now, please know your helpful comments are not going unnoticed. I just have to baby step my way back here..

    I am doing the same thing with my calories leaving more for the evening, this is also good for unexpected food items showing up at work.
