It's Monday and I lost 2.5 lbs over the weekend!

When I hopped on the scale this morning and the dial read 187.5, I was ecstatic. It has been so long since I've been in the 180's that seeing myself so far into it is probably the highlight of the past few weeks.

The best part: I'm not surprised. I was watching what I ate religiously over the weekend.

On Saturday, I woke up early and had a quick bowl of cereal to tide me over while I played on my computer until my dad picked me up at 10:30. We went out for breakfast and I ordered three scrambled eggs (no toast, no potatoes) and a giant bowl of fruit. We went to the movie theatre to watch The Wolverine and I somehow managed to resist the temptation of popcorn and drank only water instead. When I got home, I waited until about 7:00 to have dinner and it was six chicken nuggets and a large, leafy salad. Nom!

Yesterday, I woke up and made myself two scrambled eggs (1 tsp of butter, 2 tsp of milk) and one piece of toast (another 1 tsp of butter) and a banana. For lunch, I snacked on a Sweet & Salty almond granola bar. At around 3:00PM I went for a run/jog/walk using the Couch to 5K application I downloaded on my phone. Dinner was more chicken nuggets and 1 cup of peas. I was actually slightly under my caloric intake for yesterday - I'm supposed to be eating 1350-1700 and I only had 1275, but I can justify that every once in a while, the same way we can sometimes justify going over our caloric range, too.

So far this morning, I am off to a good start. I've had a Sweet & Salty bar and a banana and am currently sipping my steeped tea while I work on invoices here.

    I'm on Week 2. Today is actually Day 2 of Week 2 so it's still only running for 1.5 mins and walking for 2 mins, totalling 21 mins of "workout" and 10 mins of warm-up/cool-down. I do these on my way home, typically, and I walk home every day which takes right around 60 mins in total, give or take a few minutes. It's pretty fun and I'm glad to take it easy because I really don't want to destroy my knees... again.

    how are you getting on with the couch25k hun? sorry i never got back to your post on my page about it, id actually already downloaded it a while back and got up to week 5...then there was a sudden jump from running 8minutes non-stop to 20minutes non-stop! crazy right! so i struggled and ammixing up my workouts and giving it a rest for a while.
