Tornado and Tired

Sunday, July 14, 2013

My niece a while back while we were at my mom's old house.

I don't think I ever said on here that my mom lost her house. Her house was hit by a tornado. It was the week after I had hurt my foot and I was in a boot right before foot surgery. I was staying with her because I could get around her house better. So my 4 dogs and I were staying with her. 15 minutes before the tornado hit my mom and I made the decision to pack up in the car with 6 dogs and leave. It was lucky we did, the house took a direct hit. So now my mom is trying to figure out what to do. It's been an interesting time with my foot like it is.

Today has been a tired day. I slept too much so I've felt tired. I'm tired of not having money (like I'm eating ramen noodles for each meal not having money). I'm tired of my foot hurting. I'm tired of being in this stupid cast. I'm trying to stay positive but lately it's just been hard. It doesn't help that it's raining today and I can't go anywhere unless I wrap my leg in towels, a trash bag, and duct tape.

This too shall pass... those 4 words have helped me innumerable amounts of times.

I find I can usually handle one problem, or two, but when 3 or more hit then I get frustrated and impatient.

Come to he picnic this Saturday, hope we can lift your spirit, and we will see what we can do about the food situation, don't bring anything... and if you feel compelled then bring a Ramen noodle casserole. There are usually loads of leftovers and we will fix you up on that score as well.

I know two of us for certain will be there with injuries, so don't let that stop you.

hope you get better soon. it might help you feel better if you count your blessing and always remember someone has it worse than we do. emoticon
