I just lost a very long blog half-way through typing it so I will not even bother to do it again because I know it won't be the same.

I was feeling too lazy to go for a run yesterday, the weather was also very discouraging (Nairobi is really cold right now!) After a whole day of lazying around on the couch, I realized I was not doing myself any good. So I got up, put on my workout clothes and shoes and started walking at home (those who are familiar with Leslie Sansone's workouts will understand this.) Then I decided to add some jump rope into the mix but I was still feeling like I had some more energy to burn. The more I worked out, the more energetic I felt. I then decided to make use of my stairs at home and just kept going up and down, and up and down. Even after my workout, I still felt a pull towards those stairs. So anytime I need to use the bathroom, if I was upstairs, I'd go to use the downstairs bathroom and if I was downstairs, I'd go to use the bathroom upstairs.

Later on as I was watching TV, I came up with a new challenge. During each commercial break, I'd go up and down the stairs at least three times.

By the end of the day, I had 36,232 steps and 51 floors recorded on my fitbit (WooHoo). Even though I had skipped my scheduled morning workout, I was still able to get a good workout just by improvising.
