Hello Again..Beginning of PREGNANCY Blog!!! 16 weeks

Thursday, May 30, 2013

I haven't been on here in a while, except to check email. Lots has changed!

I will be 16 week pregnant tomorrow!! First baby! My husband and I are so excited!

We got married October 27, 2012 and were pregnant 4 months later! Woo-hoo! I was a little worried it would take a while because I am 32 and have been on the pill since the age of 16...but both sides of my family are very fertile and I guess I am following in that area!

I found out on March 11 that I was pregnant. It was one of the happiest days! I couldn't hardly focus when I got to work. I took a test at home that morning.

So far I have basically been "built for pregnancy" as my husband likes to joke. I have never gotten sick one time. From week 6-12 I was feeling queasy all day and just blah. Smells got to me the worst. I had to switch to unscented laundry detergent and it was a good excuse for my husband to clean the house for me those weeks. I didn't feel like cooking or eating, nothing tasted good...but that is as bad as it's been! Once week 13 hit, I was pretty much back to feeling as normal as one can feel while growing a human inside of them!

I have only gained about 6-7 pounds so far, so I am happy with that. I have not worked out at ALL since finding out I was pregnant. I was working out pretty consistently before that. I should have known something was up when the weekend before I officially found out I was pregnant, I had to take a quick pee break during one of my aerobics classes at the gym...that was a FIRST. 2 days later I found out I was pregnant!

I always thought, "When I get pregnant, I'm not letting that stop me from working out!" Pssshhh! Life sometimes has other plans. I haven't worked out because in the beginning I was just feeling way too tired and queasy to even THINK about working out...NOW, I don't want to think about it because ...TMI....MY BOOBS! Ugh. I don't think I need to go into great detail...hahaha!

So, I am just trying to walk and get out and do things and trying to make healthy choices when eating. I haven't had any weird pregnancy cravings, but one thing this kid is NOT is a vegetarian. I have to have meat. If I don't, I feel very hungry and angry (haha) and almost sick until I get some meat. The baby gets angry too. hahaha!

We should find out what we are having by the end of June!

Exciting times!! Baby is due in November!

All the best wishes being sent your way. Having worked Labor & Delivery I'd like to give one word for an easy birth. Get back to some form of exercise where you are squating etc. with those mucles being built up it makes the pushing of the babe so easy ! You are looking great and here is to an easy birth !
