Just Two More Days!

Tuesday, May 21, 2013

Today is day 30 of my juice feast. I said I would push this to 32 days to make up for some cheating along the way, so just two more days. My DS turns 13 on Thursday and we are planning a big party for him on Saturday, I'm glad I will be done with the fast in time for the birthday party.

For two days now I have not felt like drinking much juice. I have actually been drinking mostly water and some green tea with a slice of lemon. But I do force myself to have some green juice for dinner even if I don't feel like it. This is a common thing for me on long fasts, there are days when I just don't feel hungry and I don't want to drink any juice at all.

This fast has been a a bit easier than the last one I did. I have not been so desperate for food (during my last fast I could smell peanut butter all the way from my neighbor's house!)

Now I just have to carefully plan how to safely break this fast without messing it all up. The one thing I am happy about is that the weight loss has not been too extreme. I didn't want to go below 120lbs and at my weigh-in this morning I was 120.2lbs.

I'm not so sure I could do a juice fast I don't care for most juices and my stomach would probable rebel. I could do tea and very light foods though such as eggs, fruit and vegetables. Maybe I'll give it a try soon~ emoticon

So how much did you actually lose, on your juice fast. And how are you planning to eat now, to maintain the loss. I might try a juice fast, I don't know yet. My big problem is how to afford it..

I saw a movie about a guy from Australia who did a 60 day juice fast. He had a lot of health issues and was on a lot of medication, so he decided he would try this. He came to the United States to do it and traveled across the country and talked to people about his fast. It was a very interesting movie. He actually got two people to do the fast. One woman who did it for 30 days and another guy who was going to do it for 60 days. I think he recommended a 7 day fast just to try it. All of his health issues went away after he lost the weight and got healthy by eating better and exercising.
Best of luck on your quest.

What am I missing....did you go from 120.2 to 120 in a month on juicing? That seems very little weight loss for a fast? Or is my maths just appalling.

Juice Fast! That sounds hard...really hard! no wonder you could smell peanut butter from the neighbors house LOL
Thought I was doing pretty good today since I feel like I ate a LOT of food and it all fell well within my calorie range. And on the report all my proteins fats carbs were in perfect alignment on the pie chart! Then I see you've been drinking juice for days! Don't know how you do it. Is it just to reduce your weight a bit after a little increase to get everything back into alignment? Or do you just feel good after a "cleanse" like that?
Congrats on the accomplished goal! 120lbs fantastic! I dream of seeing that number on the scale. I'd be elated with anything in the 130's.
    Way to go!
