Another Day in Clothing News

As of today:
My weight is still going down in small increments. (Yay!) I was 151 pounds on the scale this morning.
I can lift 75 pounds on the bench press (even though DH put 85 pounds on by mistake and I still managed a set of 10 lifts before we figured it out).
My size 10 jeans are starting to get baggy. (Yay?)
I just replaced most of the size L pieces in my exercise wear collection with size M and even some size S. As the warmer months approach, I am buying more shorts instead of 3/4-length cropped leggings.
I am getting really tired of wearing my size XL winter coat that is laughably big on me. Hurry up spring so I can wear my new size M leather coat!
Haha, everyone in our family is becoming fashion-conscious. DH scours the urbanwear stores for inexpensive jeans in coloured denim. And last time he went to an actual menswear store he came home with a pair of Lucky brand jeans that he got on sale for 40% off.
Meanwhile, my teenage son who is on a school trip to England just bought a dress shirt for £69 (over $100 Canadian of his own money). Oh, and a trilby -- but we knew he'd come back with a hat, because hats are his "thing".
So, add this to my "designer" Italian down jacket and plaid spandex skinny jeans from the thrift store, and you can see that we are all birds of a feather with our love of finery.
This is what happens (with DH and me) when two people who have been stuck wearing larger sizes -- in my case plus sizes -- for almost two decades are suddenly set free in a world where we can wear regular sizes again.
I won't lie: buying and wearing fashionable clothes is a big part of the fun of losing weight.
