Lunch time is NOT enough time for the gym!

Monday, February 25, 2013

I have learned through trial and error that you have to stick with this for the long haul! Today I missed the gym this morning. My little one decided he wanted to get up at 2:30 this morning! At any rate NO EXCUSES. I decided to use my lunch hour to go to the gym! I thought welllll... this is a wonderful idea... UNTIL I actually went. A 1 hour lunch isn't long enough for me. Go to my car, drive to the gym, change into gym clothes, fit in maybe 20 to 30 minutes of cardio and a tiny bit of stregnth training, take a shower and book it back to work. Wooo Hooo HEY at least I went yay for small steps. Does anyone else have thoughts on this? emoticon

Good for you for getting there! I know if I don't go in the early am its most likely not going to happen. Doing 20-30 mins of cardio is great even if rushed so be proud of yourself! You were determined and you prevailed! emoticon

I don't belong to a gym. I do try to get in 10,000 steps at a minimum each day (not so good last week myself emoticon ). I'm going to work on that myself. I try to get out and walk on my breaks (when I remember them) and at lunch. I'm lucky because my job is located in a shopping center. It's about a mile around the building. It's great when it's not raining but luckily the front half of the building is covered so can walk from one end to the other and get almost a mile in that way too. Good luck on your gym at lunch time. It is a bit short but definitely a great idea.
