FRUSTRATION = scale = unfair

Having over 100 lbs to lose. buckling down, training, sweating, tracking all my food, drinking water, getting the veggies in, having over 12000 steps daily, not being able to walk every night from foot pain AND STILL..
Last 3 weeks, I lost 3 lbs and gained one back.
Other people with maybe 30 lbs to lose, change their diet add a workout and boom down 7 lbs.
The scale doesn't define me? Um, when you have 100 lbs to lose. Um, YEAH it does.
I don't get it.
I have tried it all.
I drink the tea, Dr Oz said to. I have been taking raspberry supplements everyday for months because, well, couldn't hurt.
I feel slightly better physically but the pounds stay.
It's not muscle.
Surgery is not the answer.
It's not nutrition. It's not the workouts.
There is something physiologically wrong. My grandmother died young, she was chubby, she ate what was available in Norway, which was all natural foods.
My mother died young.
So if I can't learn to love how fat I am, I will die miserable?
Pretty much.
No suggestions please.

Just hang in there, even if you don't see them changes are happening. One day you will put on a pair of pants or a skirt and it will be too big and you will wonder when it happened.

The scale might not change but your body and your health are.

Have you read the Bob Greene book? He says not to expect to lose weight the first month or so because as soon as you start exercising, your body starts storing water and it takes it a while to adjust. You can be losing fat and not know it. In his book he talks about persevering when the scale isn't moving because in time your body will adjust to the added activity and let the water go and you will start losing. It is hard to hang on to all the life changes when you aren't seeing progress, but if Bob Greene is correct, then just hang on a few weeks longer. 2lbs in 2 weeks isn't horrible anyway. If it was no pounds in 2 months, then there might be another underlying problem.

I'm considering laying down and sleeping as much as possible to see how much I lose.
I forgot to say I also went off a medication which has a side effect WHEN ON IT of weight gain.
Please. Seriously, who has to lose over 100 lbs, exercises and eats rights and can't lose weight? I'm right here Bob Harper.

Don't give up. Keep trying to make good choices each day and given time you will begin to feel better and loose weight. Takes time to put it on and lots of time and effort to take it off. The only ones who loose 7 lbs. in one week is taking some extreme measure to do it. I lost 50 lbs. over the period of a year and a half. It is slow, quite slow. But don't give up. You deserve to live a long and healthy life, as does the family that you have around you.

Having the same issue. According to what I read from Coach Nancy it all has to do with what happens when you start to eat correctly and start being healthier.

Also maybe don't weigh so often. I know there is the weekly weight in but also Coach Nancy said she has not stepped on a scale in 5 years and has lost two dress sizes.

I know at Curves the weigh and measurments are once a month. Most times the measurements are better than the weight lose.

Maybe you are exercising too much too and that puts stress on your body.

Repeat after me "How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. Cut yourself some slack. Breathe. Give yourself some time.

I also am always leary of magic drinks or pills or herbs or any of that sort of thing regardless of who is touting it.

Also make sure you are intentionally eating. Good luck.

    Just keep on keeping on.
