HAPPY NEW YEAR?

Nope, I'm not BACK but I've dropped in to say HELLO.
The GOOD NEWS: A friend of ours sold us a good as new turbo diesel ick up truck
The BAD NEWS: Brie and I spent a week in the hospital getting her gall bladder removed.
She was admitted to the Army Hospital right after the stroke of midnight, with gall stone problems. Their specialist was on leave so the next day, they sent her to another hospital to get a non surgical treatment done. Two days later, ther was no progress, so Brie checked ot and returned to the Army Hospital.
At both hospitals, the staff treated us warmly and got me a cot so that I could sleep next to her bedside. I was always introduced as her wife, and the staff was genuinely friendly, Brie had three large gall stones removed from her bile duct and a very inflamed gall bladder extracted through her navel! She has four tiny scars. She was released on the 8th, the day after her surgery. She cannot lift any weight, and she is doing well. I hope the rest of the New Year is not as exciting!
The up side is that I had access to frits and veggies daily and wouls walk twenty minutes every day through out the hospitals for exercise, even though it snowed for a couple of days.
