In my end of the year blog, I contemplated journeys and destinations. I have decided I have lots of destinations but the journey keeps going beyond those and my destinations are rest stops in the middle. Some how this makes sense to me and will allow me to enjoy the destination a much as the journey
Goals for 2013:
*track every day - food, exercise, fun. use your phone notepad!! & oh yeah your spark tracker is on there too!!!
*once a month choose something new to do and write it down
*work on less stress eating or at least making better choices, keep those healthy snacks around. When you know a busy time is coming, get some healthy meal replacements handy that give you warmth, crunch and yummy!
*lose weight, end next year lighter than you started the year.
*exercise, do it more. keep moving cause you hurt way too much when you stop. Be sure to do those long side stretches every morning which make your body happy
*keep trying, laugh, find a way to make someone else smile every day, enjoy
*go camping nut! start going to all those places you want to visit
*love your family for who they are
*organize your craft projects and FINISH THEM. friends and family are waiting to have those gorgeous things..
NEW WINTER PICTURE goes here...
measurements here .....
all about journeys here.......
from Shanshe , helped me center my destination thoughts.
rocks and water make any journey worthwhile. specially when you skip one on another..
and some days it is good to have a choice with no direction required.
[quote says ....
“Alice came to a fork in the road. 'Which road do I take?' she asked.
'Where do you want to go?' responded the Cheshire Cat.
'I don't know,' Alice answered.
'Then,' said the Cat, 'it doesn't matter.”
¯ Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland]
The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear,
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I marked the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
[I have no true idea if my road taken is less traveled. I often think not with so many souls traveling. However, this poem has been a life long guide for me given by my mother when I was younger than 7]
Taking God with me let me see some things better, like the beauty in every day, there is a piece if you look.
thanking the lord makes me more peaceful and allows me to give up grudges and hurts.
ah yes, destinations can also be crossroads in your journey which lets you have even more ways to begin again!
enjoy the journey, savor the short destinations and wait patiently for the crossroads to appear
pack carefully, your baggage usually get heavier the longer the journey
the older I get, the lighter I pack lol
thanks for stopping by and enjoy your journeys, destinations and bumps!
and if you ever think you can't start, here is my first blog link LOL www.sparkpeople.com/mypa
