Leaving the nest
Thursday, January 03, 2013
Ok, so I'm not so much leaving the "nest" of being a personal trainer at my gym. More like making my nest bigger. Next week I start training an offsite bootcamp (meaning a bootcamp our gym runs at a location other than our gym).
I get to tell people in an apartment complex to drop and give me 20!
2 of our training interns have officially become trainers and have their very own clients, classes, and big plans. I'm as excited for them as I am for myself.
My body has decided that its "natural" weight is between 150 and 155, because that's the weight I end up at when I go through my normal routine. Its "healthy" weight is 145. Its "best" weight is 140. I'm a damn machine at 140. Its "fighting" weight is somewhere under 140 (that's where I'm lean, energetic, and strong, but maybe not quite as strong as at 145).
It's too easy to stay at 155. It's easy to stay at 150. It's easy to GET to 145. It's a little more effort to get to 140. 135 lasts a day. Maybe.
Its time to handle sh!t again. I'm currently at "too easy". Too easy is not good enough for me.
