Why do we think that the flipping of the calendar page to a new year will make things change? I have been thinking about this for the past week as I have been reading our messages on the different team sites. They are all the same with the renewed energy to change and do things differently or maybe better. Is this a bad thing? I don't think so. It is a wonderful opportunity to take a look at what you have accomplished in the previous year and if you don't like it then, if you really want, it is an opportunity to for you to do something about it. It is like the slate has been wiped clean and you get a chance to start over. I am not unhappy with my previous year but I know I can improve, and I am going to.
I am going to be more careful with my diet.
I am going to walk more.
I am going to try a spinning class again. I use to do it before my knee replacement and have been reluctant to try since then, but maybe it is time, I only have to try and if it does not work then at least I tried.
I am going to join the winter challenge and hopefully I can be a Teddy Bear again.
I am going to lose 5 more pounds during the challenge and at the time I will feel that I am at a comfortable weight for my age.
I am going to love more, laugh more and enjoy my family and friends to the fullest.
There I said it, put it in writing, and now I am committed!
We are so lucky we have found Sparks!
