Time for a rebirth...

So, my last blog has focused on where my life has been...time to focus on the future.
My divorce should be finalized soon, February looks right. It'll be nice to put that to rest finally.
Some exciting things have been in the works, among all the garbage. As you most know I haven't posted anything in quite awhile...because there's nothing to post. The injury to my foot last year as continued to hurt, but that excuse is wearing thin. My company (Honda Mfg) is very health conscience company and have many tools for us to lose weight, quit smoking, etc. A new program is “U-turn” which is helping u-turn your life. In 2009 at the convention in Cincinnati I was at my lowest adult weight 250; I’m now over 400 again. I can make any excuse, but ultimately I’M in charge of ME. I went to a u-turn information seminar and liked what I heard and submitted an application. They took 20 people from a pool of over 100; proud to say I’m one of those people! I've met with my coaches, the program is ran like a game/team, and they shared that the doctor that reviewed everyone’s application said they’d be foolish not to select me. As most know, I’m loud and outgoing, but not a braggart. This really touched me and reignited my passion for fitness and getting rid of this weight once and for all! The fit test was tough on me and I was sore, but in a good old way. These coaches will push us and drive us much like Bob or Jillian…much what I need right now. So look for me to start posting some smack talk and some fitness goals soon! I had to have permission from my doctor to participate and he signed the papers yesterday. He's see what I've done in the past and knows I can do it again.
In other news, and THIS one is something else.
Back in November I was contacted by RUNNER'S WORLD to do an article on ME! I was totally floored! I commented on a blog about how I got my start running and my achievements. Well, the blog writer and RW editor Jennifer VanAllen contacted me about this and thus we’ve been interviewing on the phone. This potential article will be in the May issue AND potentially in a new book RW is working on…how to get started running. I’m giving no promise that it will actually make it, but should you glance through and see a familiar name…now you’ll know.
This is where things are looking right now. I need to gain control of my boredom eating and getting some exercise in. It's hard to start over when you've become used to being able to put the limits. Walking is forefront as exercise again as well as hitting the punching bag.
Rock on and bring on 2013!
Laters,
Bill
