No longer OBESE-hooray!

I have tried to be really good this week. I have eaten really well and have really stuck to my exercise routine. I even RAN this week. That has been a goal of mine for ages and I finally was able to run for 20 minutes-afterwards I felt fantastic. I will have another go tomorrow and am hoping to work it into my regular workout. I'm starting slow...slow and steady wins the race, right?
I checked my BMI this weekend and I no longer fit into the 'obese' category. I'm feeling really pleased about that. Even though I never felt like I was obese, I hated being labeled as such! Now, I'm 'heavy', but well on my way to 'healthy'.
I also managed my emotional eating quite well this week. I was feeling a bit homesick and blue. My mom turned 50 this week and I was so sad that I wouldn't be there to celebrate with her. But, I stuck to my goals and carried on-which is a big deal for me. I still have urges to eat out of control, but I'm much more in control of myself these days which feels really good.
I'm really starting to feel as if I'm changing my life.
