new job and hurt feet

Just got done with my first night as a Kroger Cashier. It was fun, and didn't have any problems but my feet are killing me from standing so long but hey I won't complain money is money and you gotta do what you gotta do.

Anyway Thanksgiving is coming up and I have three different dinners to attend. I have my mother in laws, my parents and we're going to family friends house to eat there to. OMG theres gonna be a ton of food. Does anyone else have this many thanksgiving dinners? If so how would you go about not eating so much a certain dinners?

My mother in law is having hers the day before the thanksgiving. Then we have two dinners on Thanksgiving day. Not too mention this coming up Sunday we're having a Thankgiving dinner at Church. So that actually makes four dinners in one week!!!!

    I was a cashier for 25+ years it does get better after the first week or so. But pamper those feet as much as you can and don't forget your legs, some nice compression tights for warmth and support....

    3 meals to attend gosh! Well I hope you tell everyone your situation and that they are supportive of your goals.

    But if they are not you be your own advocate, calm but firm!

    Plus too plan. I'm sure you will be around some amazing food.
    Enjoy moderate amounts of the things you absolutely love.
    Stay hydrated. Up your workouts before and afterward.
    The most important thing is to enjoy the spirit of the holiday, which is gratitude and friendship.

    You need to look for a good pair of shoes that you can wear for work and just use them for that job or if you can't afford one then look into a good pair of inserts for your shoes that will help with being on your feet all day. Just go to a medical store and they should be able to help you with that but if they cost about the same as shoes then get the shoes. emoticon
