Back and making a committment

When I first tried Sparkpeople, it really went well. I lost over 40 pounds in about 7 months time and I was feeling great. However, I then started to have excruciating headaches. After months of tests and doctor's visits, it was discovered that I have nerve damage in my spinal area at the base of my head and in joints in my skull. The headaches made it impossible to workout and they lasted anywhere from a few hours to the entire day. I quickly (in the same span of time as it took me to lose it) gained back 30 of the pounds I had lost. Also in that span of time, I got laid off from my teaching job which was one of the hardest things I've ever had to go through.
The good news is that I'm back. I'm getting treatment for my head and neck with injections that help. I'm working full time teaching until June. I recently married the love of my life! I'm ready to restart this journey and get to my goal of 136 pounds. My training schedule includes kickboxing, strength training, competitive volleyball, and some various cardio methods such as biking, stairs, and running. I have set a goal of working out 5 days a week with optional runs on Saturday and Sunday. My husband is also re-committing himself, though he doesn't have the weight to lose that I do.
Everyday, I will track my food on sparkpeople, look at and follow my calendar for training, and make smart choices for myself. I'm glad to be back, sparkpeople!
