Still feeling 'yucky' but I DID it! (Again! :-)

Ok, still feeling yucky and out of sorts but I just finished my 2.75 mile walk today! I'm participating in SparkPeople's 5K Your Way Walking Training Program -- just finished week 4. Yeah! It was WINDY out too so I got a little added resistance (and maybe burned a few extra calories? :)
I was talking with a friend at work this morning about menopause and I mentioned that I knew weight gain commonly occurred during/after you hit menopause but I wasn't going there! I just lost 20+ pounds and intended to lose more and NOT gain! She said that it might not be my decision -- I might gain anyway, despite my best efforts.
NOOOOOO! Say it isn't so! I don't accept that this is a foregone conclusion. I do accept that it might be more difficult to lose weight (and I know all about losing muscle mass when you get older (yada, yada, yada) but THAT doesn't have to happen either!
So there! NYAH at you, stupid hormones.
