To the Newbies and the Doubters!
Sunday, September 09, 2012
I have a Spark buddy named Andy. He was posed a question by newbies on why he spent so much time on the computer/SparkPeople. I just had to share it, because to be successful with anything, you do need to spend time understanding how things really work, and follow directions. SparkPeople does give simple and easy to follow directions.
Here is part of Andy's blog.
Letter to the Newbies and the Doubters!

Hey Sparkfriend (name changed to protect the innocent)
I understand where your comment is coming from, I do seem to be on the computer a lot. I usually start and end each day with 30 minutes on the exercise bike. My newest toy, the iPad let's me spark while riding. During the day at work I have been getting in 8000 to 10000 steps. At night rather than using the car I also walk to the grocery store, pharmacy wherever.
I have found that the more immersed I become in my spark teams, I tend to speak with like minded individuals who have similar goals, can offer support and keep my mind focussed on my health and fitness goals. Today I have been on the bike twice for an hour total, mowed the lawn, worked on the gardens and more. And now, time to help out some more at this birthday party.
Hope your day is going great. Enjoy!
