Different Measurements, Different Feedback

Saturday, September 08, 2012

I had been feeling discouraged about this whole fitness thing. I thought I was doing everything right: eating less, exercising more, but what I thought was my measurement of success, my weight... well it was barely changing. One week it was down a pound, the next week it was up higher than it was than when I started this whole 'lifestyle change'. (This week I am at 140. When I signed up for SP last month I was at 137.)

But, today I realized it had been a whole month, so it was time to check my other measurements again. My waist and hips are both down half an inch, and my thighs were down an entire inch. O___O

Anyway, my advice (I suppose) here is to be patient when waiting for the results to come in. It might seem like you're not getting the results you are looking for, but just be patient. As long as you are meeting your diet and fitness goals consistently, your body is definitely making some changes in there, even if the first place those changes show themselves isn't your scale. emoticon
